The site formed part of an adjacent bolt manufacturing company.

Site Constraints:

Following extensive investigations and liasion with the Local Authority and Environment Agency a detailed Remediation Strategy has been agreed for the site. The works are to commence shortly. 

In addition, a woodland management plan has been agreed with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council for the on-going maintenance of the protected woodland and SLINC.

Development Proposals:

Mar City Developments Ltd has recently obtained outline planning permission for approximately 36 dwellings of mixed tenure. The proposed mix of dwellings will offer a wide range of accomodation that has been determined to address local housing needs.

A reserved matters application will be determined by the middle of 2009. Discussions are on-going with potential Regional Social Landlord partners.
