Former use:

The 1920's factory, located in the Jewellery Quarter is the former home of electrical component makers Lucas.

The site forms part of Birmingham's Urban Regeneration Area.

Site constraints:

The existing building had heavy contents of asbestos and various surface and ground contaminates due to its previous uses.

Development proposals:

New Hampton Lofts was re-developed in partnership with our sister company Marplant Limited, and a national housebuilder, to provide 400 New York style apartments, retail and leisure facilities. The construction incorporated elements of new build and conversion. Mar City Developments Limited were awarded the prestigious Best Urban Regeneration Scheme in Birmingham for the site.
